Seattle born artist Jody Isaacson earned her B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin (1981) and her M.F.A. from the California College of Art (1983).
Her work has been shown at KIPNZ in Walton, NY (2023), the Greg Kucera Gallery, Seattle, WA, (1984-2021), Franklin Stage Co., Franklin. NY, (2019) the Hyde Collection in Glen Falls, NY (2016), St. Catherine University, St Paul, MN (2015), the Arts Club in
Washington DC (2009), the Albuquerque Museum (2003), the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe (2003),
The Print Club in Philadelphia (1992 and 1993), the Nevada Art Museum in Reno (1990), and Maryhurst
College (1989).
She has received many grants and awards including a Visual Arts Fellowship by the
NEA/Westaf Visual Arts Fellowship, an Art Matters, Inc Support Grant, the Berthe von Moschzisker
Award and Print Club Selection Award from The Print Club in Philadelphia, a Maryland Federation of
Arts Small Projects Grant and an Individual Artist Grant from the Washington DC Commission on the Arts
and Humanities, 2 Creative Projects Grants from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery
County, Maryland, an Individual Artist Award: Painting from the Maryland State Arts Council. She has
done multiple residencies including the Ceramic Residency, Township 10, Marshall, North Carolina, Print
Residency, Art Union of Hungarian Etchers and Lithographers, Budapest, Hungary, Print Residency,
Centrum, Port Townshend, WA, and a Painting Residency, Ucross Foundation, Ucross, Wyoming.
Currently she is a Community Creative resident at the Bloedel Reserve, Bainbridge Island, Washington.
She is the executive director of the David Byrd Estate, an artist she met a mile from her home in 2013.
